Final Reflection

Throughout the whole 9 weeks of this project I started by writing out my proposal and time plan of what I was going to do in the creation of my track throughout the  9 following weeks. I started by researching what makes a trap beat/song and what instruments I need to use. I also looked at my favourite tracks of that genre to get an idea of what my finished track should sound like when its done. Some issues I came across throughout the project are when I didn't have the right bass line and I was still working on the melody however I did some research about it which helped me to swiftly overcome that problem. Another issue I came across was when I had planned and prepared to go into the studio last Friday but the person who was going to do it wasn't in so I had to do it on Monday instead. So I had to prepare for the session again and I had to adjust my time plan because of it I managed to fit in some extra research that linked to my project. But all in all I feel like that wasn...

My Strengths and weaknesses in general

Strengths: I am good at sticking to plans Once I'm focused its hard to deter me I can make a decent track  When I focus my lyrics can be quite good Im good in the studio with rapping and singing Im a quick learner I don't always need help If someone is stuck I have helped them out Weaknesses: I can get distracted easily Sometimes I turn up late in spells Sometimes I'm not the best at making beats or lyrics Ive been told that I seem to enjoy singing more then rapping and that sometimes my pronunciation and delivery make it sound like I'm mumbling but when its time to record or perform I perform it perfectly. I feel like sometimes I can get nervous which makes me mumble or not pronounce as well but I feel that the more I do it I'll be used to it and my songs will be performed perfectly

15/06/18 FMP week reflection

I think this week has gone fairly well but not as good as it could of because: I have finished off my track instrumental and perfecting my lyrics as well as that I looked at how to prepare for a studio session and practised my lyrics. However The person who was going to do it today wasn't in so Mark (the person who runs the studio) had already shut it all off when a couple other students offer to do it. he said that he will record me on Monday instead at 1:30. I have also researched how to prepare for a studio session. Like tips for preparing your voice etc.

14/06/18 research

Today I am going to research how to prepare for a studio session for tomorrow and also practise my lyrics for Medusa. I have for the first half of the lesson researched how to prepare for a studio session. These are the websites I looked at for good advice, tips etc in preparation for my studio session. I also practised my lyrics too. This relates to my project as I was preparing to record my lyrics in the studio so I wanted to research tips on how to make my first time recording my lyrics for my first official song the best use of that time and perform as good as I could. 04/06/18 FMP Update reflection

I feel that this week has gone to plan and quite well all in all as I have arranged a date with a level three student who's name is Lee who's graciously agreed to record it. Its set for the 18th of June anytime from 1:30pm-4:30pm for hopefully an hour to get my lyrics done perfectly. I have sorted the beat out and now Ill just do a few little tweaks to perfect it. I will practice performing my lyrics to the beat to perfect it. If I need to lengthen the track then my outdo could easily last like 45 seconds or more. I am also thinking about getting a couple professional music videos filmed for medusa and a couple of other tracks in the future. They have to be high quality and appeal to my target audience however otherwise the song will seem quite bad and less people will be inclined to listen to it. I have thought about this as songs generally do better with music videos. I have also added a repetitive hey chant like the one in paranoid by Ty Dolla $ign as an extra thing in t...
